A Little Confession from Clay Beach
Where clay becomes therapeutic
Hi, I’m Poojitha Dayalan, the founder of Clay Beach Studio, but before all the titles and workshops, I was simply someone who fell in love with the quiet rhythm of clay spinning on a wheel. I studied at Good Shepherd in Nungambakkam, graduated from the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad, and spent four years in the design world — but somewhere in the middle of all that structure and routine, I started missing the feeling of creating with my hands.
So, I returned to clay — the one thing that always grounded me. What began as a personal escape soon turned into a calling: to share the healing, meditative power of this craft with others.

At Clay Beach Studio, I’ve tried to create a space that feels like home — warm, slow, and welcoming. A space where you can leave the noise behind, get your hands muddy, and discover that art doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful. My mission is simple: to help people find calm, joy, and connection through clay. Whether it’s your first time holding it or your hundredth, I promise you’ll walk away with more than just a handmade piece — you’ll leave with a little bit of peace.
